Resin Driveway Installations Kent
Glenn Mackett Construction & Groundwork Ltd offer attractive long-lasting resin driveway installations. Resin driveways often referred to as Resin-bound paving are laid on a traditional base and sub base.
We are fully certified resin driveway installers after completing an extensive training course with the highly respected Resin Bound Surfaces Group.
Resin Driveway installations are a popular choice as they offer a long-lasting attractive alternative to traditional gravel driveways. Resin-bound driveways are made from specially treated and dried natural stone and a stable UV resin compound.
With over 20 years of experience in driveway installations, we have a proven track record as a trusted driveway installer across Ashford Kent. The standard of our resin driveway installations has and will continue to be of the utmost importance to our business.

Resin-Bound & Resin Bonded Differences
The two materials used for resin driveway installations sound similar; however, there are significant differences concerning the drainage, bases, and composition of these two surfaces.
Resin-bound driveways are permeable, meaning that water drains through the surface, which is made up of aggregate gravel and resin compound mixed and then laid on a prepared base.
Resin-bonded driveways, on the other hand, are non-permeable, meaning that separate drainage is needed in order to drain the surface effectively. To create a Resin-bonded driveway, the Resin is laid directly onto the base, and the gravel is then spread or broadcasted on top of the Resin.
Why Choose a Resin Bonded Driveway?
One benefit of this system is that existing tarmac or concrete pathways or patios can be used as a base for resin-bonded driveways. However, this is only possible if the existing surface has been fully cleaned. All traces of oil, weeds, and other contaminants must be completely eradicated from the existing surface.
Before laying, any cracks in the existing surface must also be repaired to achieve the best possible results. If the existing surface is in any way porous, a primer will also need to be applied. Any existing surface with joins, such as traditional block paving, is not deemed a suitable base.
Once the preparation process has been completed, G Mackett Construction & Groundwork Ltd can begin the process of mixing the Resin that is to be laid on the prepared surface. When ready, the self-levelling Resin is applied after 10 minutes, the Resin will have self-levelled, and the aggregate can be added or (broadcasted).
